Health Canada approves North America’s first software-based virtual reality medical device

Halifax— November 30th, 2019 — Ryan Cameron, CEO of Electric Puppets is pleased to announce that Evrisia BV1 is now Patent Pending. “After a lengthy submission process and a lot of documentation, we’ve officially submitted a provisional patent application the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a provisional patent, with official patent filing to follow shortly. Our lawyer, Bereskin Parr has been extremely helpful guiding us through the process and really burning the midnight oil to ensure we made our November goal. Evrisia BV1 - a platform that facilitates medical research and testing in VR has several capabilities that will be useful in research including recording VR user’s position and eye movement while viewing 3d visual stimulus all around them in Virtual Reality. Several unique and powerful tools are featured in the platform that enable tests to be consistent and useful particularly in the assessment of eye alignment, acuity and perception of colour.
